# Bridge 2x Routers

If there are 2 PCs of the 4G routers (For example, "4G One" and "4G Two" in the below image), you can refer to the below guidance to connect them and use only one Wi-Fi hotspot to connect to the Internet.

## i. Set {4G Two}

To avoid IP conflicts, we set up the {4G Two} to use another subnet. After accessing the {4G Two}, go to "Network > Interfaces":

1. Click "Edit" on the row of the "LAN" interface
2. Under the "General Setup" tab, find the field "IPv4 address."
3. Change the router IP to another subnet. For example, *192.168.33.1*.
4. Click the "Save & Apply" button on the bottom right corner.
5. Reboot the router to activate the new settings.

Note: Disable the Wi-Fi on {4G Two} if you only need one Wi-Fi hotspot.&#x20;

**How to disable Wi-Fi?**\
Go to "Network > Wireless". Click the "Disable" button on the 2nd row of the master SSID.

## ii. PoE Connection

There are two ports on the PoE injector. Connect the \[PoE] port to both routers. Connect the \[LAN] port on {4G Two} to the \[LAN] port on {4G One}'s PoE injector. Please use Cat5 or higher grade LAN cable to connect between the PoE injectors.

## iii. Set {4G One}

### 1) Bind eth1 to WAN

The PoE port on the injector is bound to the LAN interface on the 4G router by default. We need to modify the physical port settings to receive the Ethernet signals from {4G Two}.

After accessing the {4G One}, go to "Network > Interfaces":

1. Click "Edit" on the row of the "LAN" interface
2. Under the tab of "Physical Settings," click the dropdown list of "Interface."
3. Select the 1st "eth0", and **dis-select** the 2nd "eth1".
4. Click the "Save & Apply" button on the bottom right corner.

It will jump back to the previous Interface Overview page:

1. Click "Edit" on the row of the "WAN" interface
2. Under the tab of "Physical Settings," click the dropdown list of "Interface"
3. Select the 2nd "eth1".
4. Click the "Save & Apply" button on the bottom right corner.
5. **Reboot** the router to activate the new settings.

After rebooting, access the router and go to "Network > Interface". The WAN interface should obtain an IP from {4G Two}. The IP address should start with 192.168.33.xxx. If the WAN interface has not obtained an IP from {4G Two}, please review the above **i** and **ii** steps.<br>

### 2) Load Balancing

The WAN interface has a higher priority than the Mobile interface. The connections to {4G One} will mostly use the WAN traffic from the {4G Two} router. Note: If there are many concurrent users, Internet traffic will also use {4G One}'s mobile traffic.

We need to enable the "Load Balancing" function on {4G One} router to control the traffic route precisely.&#x20;

Note: The steps below are unnecessary unless you want to control the internet route.

After accessing the {4G One}, go to "Network > Load Balancing."

#### A) If you want to use one of the connections (WAN and Mobile) as the main connection,

1. Click the tab of "Policies" and click the "Edit" button on the 2nd row of "ALL".
2. Select the connection priority in the order of up to down. For an example of using Mobile as the main connection, set the order to "MOBILE\_*m > wan\_*&#x6D; > wwan\_m."

   Note: wwan\_m is the Wi-Fi relay connection.
3. Click the tab of "Globals"
4. Click the choose box of "Enable".
5. Click the "Save & Apply" button on the bottom right corner.

#### B) If you want to use both connections (WAN and Mobile) at the same time,

1. Click the tab of "Members".
2. Click the "Edit" button and change all the interfaces with the same metric and weight.
3. Click the tab of "Globals"
4. Click the choose box of "Enable".
5. Click the "Save & Apply" button on the bottom right corner.

Note: After enabling the load balancing function, if you change any further settings, please reboot the router to activate the new settings.
