Lightning Protection

Circuit lightning protection is built-in the EZR33L motherboard.

Last updated 1 year ago

A lightning protection system doesn't attract, repel, or prevent a lightning strike. It provides an efficient grounding network with a low-resistance path to the ground for lightning's electricity.

Lightning Rod

A lightning rod or lightning conductor is a metal rod mounted on a structure and intended to protect the structure from a lightning strike. According to the traditional Franklin design, the router should be installed under a cone of 45 degrees.

Cables & Ground Rod

Use heavy cables that carry lightning current from the rods to the ground. The conductor cable is attached to the router and then down to the ground rod.

Use a long, thick, heavy ground rod and bury it deep into the earth. The conductor cable connects to the ground rod to complete a safe path for a lightning discharge around the router.
