Antennas & Signals
The EZR35-LTE router uses MIMO antennas on both 4G and Wi-Fi connections.
Marks & Sockets
Please check the chart and image below to find the correct antennas and their related sockets.
The 4G antennas are marked "MOBILE," and Wi-Fi antennas are engraved "WIFI4-5." There are six embossed numbers on the top and bottom sides. 1-2-3 are for 4G antennas, and 4 & 6 are for Wi-Fi antennas.

Antenna Installation
The antenna sockets are N-K female with a center hole, and antennas have N-K male with a center pin. Align the antennas with their sockets, horizontally or vertically, to avoid breaking the center pins.
Turn the milled part on the antenna head to tighten or loosen the antennas. Turn clockwise to install the antenna on the socket, and turn counterclockwise to remove it.

The CAT16 model uses 3 mobile antenna ports, while the CAT6~12 models use ports 1 and 3.
When installing near the ocean, consider securing the antenna connectors with glue to improve protection against corrosion.
Mobile Signal Quality
Good mobile signal quality is fundamental to achieving a stable, fast internet connection over the mobile network. Please choose a location for the outdoor router with a reliable mobile signal.
Various mobile networks exist: 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. The chart below shows signal quality ranges for 3G/4G mobile networks. The main factors are RSRP and SINR. Ensure RSRP and SINR have a "Fair" signal level to maintain a stable mobile internet connection. Typically speaking, 3-5 bars indicate fair/good signals, and 1-2 bars indicate a poor signal that might sometimes lose connections. No bars mean no cellular signal was detected.
You can run a basic test on a mobile phone. Insert the SIM card into a mobile phone, disable Wi-Fi, and walk around to check the network type and signal bars. Then choose a location with a strong, stable signal.

Definition of Signal Strength
Excellent: Maximum speed and data throughput. Good: Stable connection and good data throughput. Fair: Maintain data connection with restricted throughput. Poor: Connection drops or inability to maintain a stable connection.
The signal values are negative numbers. A number closer to zero indicates a stronger signal. For example, -90 dB is more robust than -100 dB.

Upgrade Antennas
If the RSRP falls below -102 dBm, consider upgrading the mobile antennas to directional models to improve signal reception. If using the router in an RV or boat, please use the omnidirectional antennas.
You can also upgrade the WiFi antennas to directional models to broadcast WiFi signals to specific areas at longer ranges. Learn more about outdoor external antennas.
Ensure your antennas have N-male connectors and cover the correct frequency range. If you connect antennas with extra coaxial cables, use cable lengths shorter than 5 meters to reduce the RF signal attenuation.
